EnduroSat
EnduroSat is a Bulgarian aerospace manufacturer founded in 2015 by Raycho Raychev and headquartered in Sofia. The company designs, builds, and operates modular small satellites and ESPA-class platforms, offering a fixed-cost constellation-as-a-service model that covers mission design, payload integration, launch, and in-orbit operations. EnduroSat's patented FRAME satellite features a cableless design that enables assembly and testing within eight hours, with the company's new 188,340 sq ft Space Center in Sofia capable of producing up to two 200-500kg satellites per day. The company has over 400 customers globally, 3,000+ modules in orbit, and more than 300 employees across offices in Bulgaria, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, and the US (Denver). EnduroSat serves constellation operators in remote sensing, SAR, IoT, meteorology, communications, and scientific research, with recent partnerships including AIRMO for methane monitoring, MetaSensing for SAR intelligence, and TALOS/Max Planck Society for wildlife tracking.
This is how we approached it and reached the numbers
Offices across 6 countries including the US (Denver), France (Toulouse), Germany (Berlin), Luxembourg, and Italy. 400+ customers globally. 3,000+ modules in orbit with proven flight heritage. Expanding aggressively into US defense and commercial markets. Not 100 because US presence is still early relative to European base.
400 customers signed, $15M revenue (2023), three funding rounds in 2025 totaling $163M. New Space Center opened for high-volume production. Real paying customers across Earth observation, communications, and research. Revenue still scaling relative to production capacity and capital raised.
Patented cableless FRAME satellite architecture enabling 8-hour assembly. Software-defined satellite platform supporting multiple mission types from a single bus. Three generations of satellite technology developed in-house. Gen3 Endurance delivers 3.5kW power and 2Gbps downlink. Not 100 because core components (solar panels, propulsion) are sourced externally.
Constellation-as-a-service with fixed-cost pricing covering end-to-end mission delivery. Recurring revenue from mission operations and data services alongside hardware manufacturing. Clear scalability path through standardized modular platform. Capital-intensive manufacturing, but unit economics improve significantly at the production volumes the new facility enables.
EnduroSat is the strongest space-infrastructure scaleup to come out of Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in Sofia in 2015, the company has built a vertically integrated satellite manufacturing and operations business that now serves over 400 customers with 3,000+ modules in orbit. In 2025, EnduroSat raised $163M across three rounds, with the $104M October round backed by Google Ventures, Lux Capital, Riot Ventures, and the European Innovation Council. The $49M round earlier that year was led by Founders Fund. That investor roster alone tells you something about where this company sits. The new 188,340 sq ft Space Center in Sofia is designed to produce two ESPA-class satellites per day, a production cadence that puts EnduroSat in direct competition with the best small satellite manufacturers globally. Recent partnerships with AIRMO for methane monitoring, MetaSensing for SAR intelligence, and TALOS/Max Planck for wildlife tracking demonstrate the platform's versatility across mission types. EnduroSat is not a component supplier or a consulting firm. It builds the satellites, operates them, and delivers the data. For a company headquartered in Sofia, that level of vertical integration in aerospace is exceptional.
